In making your choice of advertising the points to consider are; the cost, message delivery rate, the efficiency of implementation and the available media to use. In case of a closed market where your target segment is found in one area the outdoor advertisement will be the best option. Its advantages will include the following; the individual billboard may costs less than the magazine advertising rates per issue, the people will be reached in their own environment at no cost to them.

Due to competition the magazine advertising trends are deemed to change anytime; inclusion of new publishing technology and other cost implications. The outdoor advert can stay for along time without being changed thus saves a lot of money. The only extra cost in the outdoor advertising is the cost paid to local authorities for licenses.

The outdoor media advertising is here to stay despite the advancement in technology. They have another purpose for they passively occupy vacuums and beautify our environment. In some cases the light used to illuminate they enhance the security of an area. The billboards serve two purposes with one being beneficial to the advertiser and the other to the community around.

The outdoor advertising companies are stepping up their act like other media or advertising agents. They are slowly getting included in the technological revolution by making more appealing outdoor advertisements than before. So it is not yet time to close the door for the outdoor advertising; it is still viable.
